Hi,

This looks like a great place. I was tipped off to its existence by Ed, who replied to a post of mine on the preteristplanet forum. Thanks Ed!

Let's see, I'm (**memory holed**). I'm male. I live in (*memory holed*). I used to have fundamentalist type beliefs. Now, I wouldn't even consider myself a Christian. Maybe others would, I dunno. I'm a seeker, that's all I know. I want to know what's going on, what the reality of things are.

I know there is definetely "something" to preterist ideas, but what it means and how it affects everything else I don't know.

Anyway, that's a little about me. I look forward to my time here.

:)

Hi,

This looks like a great place. I was tipped off to its existence by Ed, who replied to a post of mine on the preteristplanet forum. Thanks Ed!

Let's see, I'm 26. I'm male. I live in Saskatchewan. I used to have fundamentalist type beliefs. Now, I wouldn't even consider myself a Christian. Maybe others would, I dunno. I'm a seeker, that's all I know. I want to know what's going on, what the reality of things are.

Hi Jay!
Welcome aboard.

The original trouble makers here see the scriptures in some form of "fulfilled" perspective. [IE "the fulfillment of all things written"]

We have and do encourage diversity here. All are welcome.

I'm almost 48, married, and we have 2 girls, 13 and 18.
My wife is from Guadeloupe in the Caribbean. I met and married her there when I was a missionary some 25 years ago for the Church of Christ.

[Now we are in over 1 foot of snow in Ontario LOL!]

Since then it has been an interesting journey :)
And the end is no where in sight!

But if there was an "end" of sorts, I would say that it is love without condition.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Jay,

It's nice to "e-meet" you :). I'm 37, married with two children, a son (15) and daughter (9). I hail from a small town that touches San Antonio, Texas.

I'm looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts about things and ditto Paige's invitation.

Hey Jay,
Glad to see you made it over here. It's me - Ed. Or should I say - it's me again. :)

For the most part, the folks here, while talking about theology, focus more on what it means to live, in light of fulfillment. I noticed that over at PP, you met RiversOfEden. It seemed to me from your first post that the two of you might just hit it off. I agree with many of his ideas, frankly....but....

On this site, you'll find it easy to discuss the things that bother you. If you believe in what Amie calls Universal Reconciliation, then you'll fit just nice. I embrace a more comprehensive, covenantal view of salvation, with grace abounding to all (in other words, I am a little more traditional in my view of Christianity than others here). Either way, this is a good place to work out your ideas. You won't find anyone here, who is a regular member, that believes that God tortures anyone, or even that God is going to annihilate anyone (well, perhaps jlv, but he stays out of those type conversations).

Anyway, as usual, I am the long winded one, who rambles on and on and on and on and on....ad infinitum, ad nauseum ;). So, I'll drop this now, and we'll discuss more later.

Again, it's great to see you here.

much grace,

ed

Welcome aboard Jay!

My bio is in my siggy file if interested...nut shell: 50, happily married for past 25 years, two kids both serving in the US Air Force. Ditched the OC (Organized Church) nearly 15 years ago and haven't looked back. Hold to the fulfilled view of scripture and living life large and in peace with the Creator and King of all.

Look forward to reading your posts!

Blessings,
Thom
