View Full Version : My Mom
Me Again

We, my extended family, needs everyone's prayers. My mom is in the process of dying as I write this. I went to see her yesterday, because we knew it would be soon (the nursing home had called). Now, it's actually happening. My dad passed nearly 5 years ago, and both my wife's parents have passed in the last decade. So, my mom is the last grandparent my kids have - and the last mom I have.
I need prayer...badly. I love her. I am happy that she is going to finally be with my dad, but it still hurts.

I love you all.

Yes Ed.
We will certainly be praying about this.
And we will be with you and all your extended family in spirit and in prayer in this difficult time.
My heart goes out to you bro.

I'm so sorry, Ed. May you be comforted by the unconditional love of God as you say good-bye (for now) to your mom. Praying for your whole family to experience the same comfort.

Ed,
You and your family are in my prayers. I will sing a prayer for you on my guitar today also.
May you feel Gods hands gently holding you in your grief.

Thanks everyone. My mom went home to be with the Lord on or about 11:00 this morning. I am now at my daughter's house, feeling like I need closure. They took mom's body to the funeral home around 12:30, so her room at the nursing home is empty; but I still feel the need to go there and see the room. Perhaps to "catch her spirit" before it leaves. That's what seemed to go through my mind earlier today, that she was going to wait for me there.
The viewing at the funeral home is on Friday, from 1:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral is Saturday, at 11:00 am.
thanks again for your prayers.
ed
Your hand in my hand brother, in spirit, in heavy heart..

In these moments I am reminded of how much you have taught me, Ed. I am so glad that God used you mightily to bring me into a fuller understanding of His love. May His love go with you today and beyond...

Yes, Ed, your mother and father did a darn good job. Our prayers are with you and your family.
I'm so sorry Ed to hear of the loss of your precious mum, you were obviously really blessed to have her as your mum. Thinking of you bro.
