Watching a TV program almost obliges one to have the remote in hand to turn down the volume of many commercials just to turn it back up once the programme starts again.

Barry,

That has been the case since the beginning of pre-recorded comercials. I'll look for that feature when HDTV takes over and I have to scrap my old set.
