Hi,
As I have been trying to look at the bible and what it is saying more with eyes of when it was written, I was wondering about this verse. Usually it is taken to mean when all the "Christian" sheep are found, then the Shepard will have the entire Flock. But I don't know. Any thoughts? The verse does make reference to "my voice" which I take to mean Jesus?

And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold. Them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice and there shall be one fold and one Shepherd.
John 10;16

Thanks,
Nancy

Nancy,

My first thought is that that was the "mystery" that Paul mentioned later. We threw this around a bit here: http://talk-grace.com/showthread.php?p=1409#post1409

The "other sheep" may be the gentiles (as a whole), while "his" sheep was Israel.

Matthew 15
24 But answering, He said, I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Luke 15 (in a parable)
6 And coming to the house, he calls together the friends and neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that had been lost.

Hi Aime,
I did read over on the other thread. I suppose then, the sheep now would include everyone correct?
