Hi everyone,
I was just wondering how it was going today in regards to living fully awake in the presence of God. (thanks to Amie for those words)
I wanted to share about my day so far. I got up early for a Dr. Appointment and the phone rang around 8. I didn't recognize the number but the message said this was urgent and I should call them. So I called my husband:biggrinbounce: And he called them.
Turns out it was a collection agency saying I owed 200 dollars on an Old Navy account. My husband was beside himself. Not mad at me, but because this was just something else to add to the pressure pile.
He got us all on a 3 way call and I said, I did buy some clothes at old Navy a year ago, but returned them all. (I just threw the receipts away last week, when cleaning for Easter) They were almost a year old, and decided I didn't need them. Besides I never got a card from them in the mail.
Anyway, The lady on the phone was nice, but said I better contact Old Navy. My husband was having a breakdown, and I just blurted out. Don't worry about this. I am not going to. I am living fully awake in the presence of God today. He settled down and I went to my appointment. I had said to my husband and God, this is just a mistake. So our credit will be ruined. Lots of people would love to just been able to have credit. If worse came to worse, I would just pay what they say I owe, even though I knew I didn't.
So as the day went by, I drove to Old Navy and the girl said, she could do nothing. I would have to call Old Navy itself. I said thank you, and told my self, I was living in the presence of God today.. I got home and called Old Navy. I went through 6 different people before I got someone who actually was a person that knew something. I was like, this is great, living in the presence of God. My husband kept calling all worked up and I just kept telling him, I am living fully awake now in the presence of God, don't worry.
Anyway, to make a long story short, or shorter. The first 6 people would not help me because of privacy laws, they would not give me, my information. I didn't have an account number, because They never mailed me a charge card.
On the 7th attempt. Somehow, I got connected to General Electrics main finance person. He said hello, I said would you like to hear my story and he said yes. Took my SS number, punched me in the computer and found out that my address had been wrong all this time. Hence I was receiving no card, or a bill for a very small amount on 2 articles of clothing that I purchased after returning the first batch. I had forgotten all about that.
Anyway, he said it was really good I called, because this wound be a major mark against our credit. He took the correct information. Dropped the charges for the interest because the address was wrong. Would call the collection agency and have it reversed and gave me his personal extension number and would write a letter for us to keep in our files if there were any problems down the road.
So my husband was greatly relieved, I enjoyed my bagel over at bagel church and looked out to the beautiful sunny day, remembered where I was a year ago, in regards to where I was now, and just felt a heart so grateful that I and (my husband, though he doesn't realize it yet) are living everyday, every moment, FULLY AWAKE in the presence of God. How about you all? How has your day been.
Amen, Amen, Amen.
Nancy:)

Nancy,

I missed this post! I'm so glad things turned out well and you didn't feel stressed in the meanwhile.

I'm speaking at the Branson conference (as you know). I'm really excited about it, I hear this is going to be a big one!

I think Doug is going to stop over (correct me if I'm wrong Doug). Lauri and her husband Andy are also going to try to make it. Anyone else?

Amie

I missed this post also! I'm so sorry about that. I'm glad to hear that there was a happy ending to your predicament, Nancy.

Regretfully, we (Dave and I) are not going to make it to Branson :(

We found out this winter that our roof needs replaced, so there went our vacation funds for this year. All in all, I'm thankful that though we can't be there, the roof will be fixed.

Don't worry about missing this post. I forgot all about it myself! We almost went to Branson, just about the time of the conference. Instead,we are leaving tomorrow for Galena IL. About a 3 hour ride for me. Its about all I can sit with my fibro. I hope Amie, we can get the tapes of the conference that you are speaking on :)
