I put this in the science area because I really feel that this are of medicine might be the "new science".
Years ago, this was suspiciously looked upon as being "new age". Lately, the more I study and read, the more I'm finding it is just good common sense. The Cancer Treatment Centers of America have incorporated many naturopathic therapies into the way they tackle the fight against cancer. I think that if I was in a fight for my life, I'd be willing to try just about anything.
Have any of you studied into this area all that much, and if so, what are your thoughts?

Well, I can say, that my daughter went to a doctor here in town who has a history of being a nut case. She is really into the natural way of doing things. no medicine. She actually gave up her MD practice, she is so convinced about eating the right foods. Anyway, she turned out to be absolutely right about our daughter and needing to be Gluten Free. Since she has been, she is like a different person. She also told our daughter she was type A blood and to eat for that blood type. Well she went to an allergist and all the things she turned out being allergic to were on the things to avoid for being a type A.
This poor child has been in the hospital, in therapy, seen every Dr known around here and it was the one in town here that really has saved her life.
Most Regular Dr. have very little training in nutrition. And just don't want to deal with it. Here is a pill take it.
My goal, after we get back from our trip in a few days, is to explore trying at least one meal a week organic. Its expensive, but if we eliminate all the junk and the process food, I think it shouldn't be so bad.
We are what we eat.

That is so true Nancy. I'm finding that the things my mom-in-law told me years and years ago about health, are just now being verified by those in the med. community. It seems that rather than being "backwards", they are turning out to be cutting edge.

I haven't tried it, but what I've heard about it has been positive. If you decide to try it, let us know how it goes.

Nancy,
Fibromyalgia symptoms are very similar to hypothyroid syptoms. I hope you've seen an endo. Get some Synthroid, 25 micrograms. When you feel cold, take one. You can do this for 2 or 3 days at a time without affecting your own thyroid production.
