I hate to even bother you guys with another post and prayer request. But I am just weary.
9 days ago we were all called to the hospital to tell us my dad had a day to live. My brother from Florida flew in at midnight. The next day he was sitting up watching the world series.:confused:
We had the funeral people come to the hospital, got all that planed and it was just a terrible time.
Well, he is now in a nursing home about 25 minutes from here. And from there he went back into another hospital. And is still there. He is dying a terrible death from emphysema. He will be 90.
Now we are in a pickle. My folks are destitute and my mom didn't fill out the Medicaid papers. My mom also couldn't find my dads social security card . We were able to get a replacement one. But it takes 10 days. My dad is down to about 30 days on Medicare. So we need the card to come fast and then we have everything to take to the Medicaid department.
In the mean time, my sister is in the hospital here in town with a flu virus. She was a heavy smoker like my dad and has lots of lung problems when she gets sick.
We also went to see my husbands brother yesterday. He and his wife live 2 blocks from us and we have not talked in 10 years. But we made the decision to put it all on the back burner during this time. His brother is 60 and dying of ALS. Also terrible.
So anyway, I would appreciate your prayers. Even though at this point, I don't even know what I believe anymore.
