Hebrews 1:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
1:39 these were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised.
1:40 God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

Can someone explain to me, what it means to have faith today? What do you have to do to get it if anything?
What was the better that God had planned for us, so that together we would be made perfect?

Thanks,
Nancy

My dear Child,
I thought I would personally answer some of your questions today.
We have walked a long time together Nancy.
Still you don't see your faith.
So I am going to show you it.
Do you mind?
No Lord,
Its time for the blinders to come off. can you do that for me?
Its not the blinders daughter that keep you from seeing,
than what it is Lord?
I will tell you?
Nancy, remember when you were 7 and asked me into your heart?
yes, Lord, I was sitting on the steps in the basement of Church by the side of the Rode.
What happened to you after that?
Well, I remember I use to play hop scotch and jump rope a lot, and sing, walking with Jesus, and Deep and wide, Deep and wide, there's a river flowing deep and wide.
Boy, you could belt that out.
But I was always alone Lord, in my own world in those years,
Well, Nancy.. What about the cross on the Methodist Church that you painted 40 years ago,
Oh, Lord, I loved doing that. I can still see if from my parents house when I visited.
Why was that so special to you Nancy,
Well, Lord, no one in my family believes in God, No one ever came to church with me, listen to my Sunday school programs, were interested in all in what I did actually.
But you kept going.
Oh, Lord, I loved to hear the stories, I loved to memorize scripture, I loved to learn, even then. Learn about you.
You were married in that church.
Yes Lord, I figured I would have this wonderful Christian marriage, but it didn't work our that way.
He left you and you have never heard a word from him in 35 years, right Nancy?
That's right Lord,
You think its because you didn't have the faith it took, to bring him back. But thats not so daughter. Instead you had the faith to keep going. Even sad beyond words you kept going.
I guess Lord.
No, don't guess, you did.
Remember when you remarried and lost you first son on Mothers day Nancy?
I was in such hard labor Lord. But I got down beside my bed and I started singing, Thy loving kindness is better than life. Then A nurse I never had seen, came in with a bible and stayed with me and read some psalms to me as I lost our son.
And then what did you do?
We tried again, and I lost our second son on our first Anniversary. 10 days in the hospital, dropping blood clots and in hard labor.
What Else do you remember Nancy?
The flowers.
It was our first anniversary and my husband brought me these beautiful orange flowers.
In you sadness you still went forward. The doctors said you would never have children, and what happened Nancy?
I have a beautiful grown daughter now and a wonderful son.
You again, didn't take no for an answer did you.
These are some of the things that Nancy Link has done by faith. I will show you daughter.
By faith, even though a divorce nearly destroyed her, Nancy went forward.
By faith, though loosing two sons, Nancy Trusted God for her children.
By faith, when her best friend was going through a divorce, Nancy comforted her and put food on there table.
By faith, when people she knew or didn't know were out of work, Nancy always found a way to get a meal or pay a bill.
By faith, Nancy sends snow suits to the Lakota Indian babies so they won't freeze to death in the winter.
By faith, Nancy has lived in a hard marriage, knowing that God is love and there is hope for mankind.
By faith, when 27 people died in Nancy's family, she comforted and cried and prayed for months and months.
By faith, when the teenage mom was out of money at cubs, you paid for her groceries.
By faith, Nancy can look at her 86 year old parents now, with compassion and not hurt.
By faith, Nancy sat in the hospital room and held and sang to her daughter while out of it for 3 hours, singing her heart cries out to me.
By faith, Nancy prays for the World daily.
By Faith, Nancy prays for all the children in the world that are missing and abused.
By Faith, Nancy Cries, prayers, wails talks non stop to me everyday, bringing her requests before the throne.
Nancy,
Daughter
Beloved,
Graceful, courageous one,
You need not fear, you don't have faith.
You can have faith and grieve
You can still have faith and search
You can still have faith and sit in silence
You want to see the end of the story,
But as you transform, you are realizing there is no end to the story. My story, Nancy.. It goes on and on.
Take a leap of faith now Nancy.
Walk in the truth of being free.
being Loved
Being fulfilled to the highest of highest places.
For you are seated right beside me.
When you don't feel like you have faith, take my hand. I will have it for you.
Those in the old testament that didn't see. Even though they had faith?
Nancy,
you are the greater good of that faith.
One day, your children's, children's children, will also have the blessing of the greater good. You don't need to see your faith Nancy. Because you live your faith. Its who you are.
Well done, good and faithful servant.
Loving you for eternity,
Your heavenly father

Wow is right! Powerful!

Maybe it's when we are at our weakest, that God is closest to us.

May I post this one on WomenBeyond as well?

Thanks Paige and Amie.
Seems, like when I am the lowest my writing takes over. My songs, and poems and writings over the years, well, they have been my comfort and somehow my connection to God at times.
Amie, you may post it. After I wrote it, I did notice lots of spelling errors! But it doesn't bother me. I just have to keep writing, till its out.
Thanks all for your love and support
Blessings,
Nancy
