thx for sharing that link Laren.
the first clue that i might be amoung kindred spirits was this snipped i paste here:

"I recently read Urban Monk. . ."

Urban Monk (http://www.urbanmonk.net/)has been a weekly-visit of mine for quite a while.

Just read this article and really enjoyed it. He/she has a knack for words. I especially liked:

When I try to say hatred has to leave me for me to forgive, that is violence.

..off to read the next one :)

The inward experience of emotional pain is similar. It serves a very useful function – it lets us know what needs to be listened to and transformed. When fully allowed, this can be a truly transcendant experience.

Physically we have nerves/receptors for a reason yet many folks just want to rip their emotional nerves from their bodies rather than to see what's going on with themselves. "Chronic pain" can try the coping skills, that's for sure. It is still telling us something about ourselves.

Good stuff Laren, thanks!

Thom,

I'm going to spend some time over where you linked as well. This is going to help me with my "homework" (the Baytown presentation) I think!

kewl Amie :)

----on a contextual tangetary ramble [can i say that? grin]

IMO, arriving at a CG/UL/FP view is a great blessing to me in my daily outlook on life. Wearing such rosie glasses has allowed me to be open minded enough to look and glean from such places as Laren shared and also the UM site and many others. BEFORE i wore these specticals i was a narrow minded, beat-you-with-my-bible, U R burning in H#&% kind of guy who really wasnt to fun to be around at times.

I'm sooooo greatful that my eyes and heart were opened to the Love that God shares&shines about us in so many, many ways.

Greetings,
Hey i did a quick search in the general area for something like "Our Members Favorite Websites". . ? is there such a thread/place?

I think that there are so many fun sites we all happen upon like what has been shared here so far.

=======with that in mind...

my 'favorite site today' began with this 50 minute video interview:

http://talkingpurpose.com/perry-marshall-cosmic-fingerprints/

the one being interviewed has a nice website:
http://www.cosmicfingerprints.com/

he basically holds to the intellegent design concept and has some facinating information at his site.

here is a video of Perry explaining his theory:

cheers,
thom

I think this little article is good, and reminded me of what Ed talks about (being naked), allowing ourselves to be human.
