Wow! I first read some of Sue Monk Kidd's writing in my women's study Bible. As with Bible's of these types there are excerpts from many women authors covering a variety of subjects. I read one of her excerpts included in the Bible and I loved what she had to say and I suspected she was different from the other writers. I quickkly looked her up in the index of authors and read her other two inclusions and then knew she was different!
Her name has stuck with me since I read that and had been meaning to look her up and read some more.
Well, I picked up an issue of Spirituality and Health magazine and there was a review of her book The Mermaid's Chair in it. The review talked of her discussion of Celtic philosophy and the sacred feminine! Having just read the DaVinci Code, I got really excited reading that!
I checked out her web site and I thought of you all. You must check it out! I saw much that some here may enjoy. Read her bio it is very interesting.www.suemonkkidd.com
She has another book entitled:"The Dance of the Dissident Daughter: A Women's Journey from Christian Tradition to the Sacred Feminine"!
Have any of you already disscovered her? Like to here your thoughts if you have.
