View Full Version : Transmillennial 2006 conference
"It's all about God" is just around the corner! I can already feel the butterflies swirling in my tummy! It will be in Branson, Missouri, June 21-24 at the Thousand Hills Golf Resort (http://www.thousandhills.com/).
The highlight of course, will be Max King speaking extensively on his highly anticipated (!) to-be-released book on Romans 9-11.
Yours truly will be there, and I hear that "locals" Doug Reed and Lauri Moser may be making appearances - oh, and Kevin Beck too ;).
For more information click here (http://www.presence.tv/cms/2006brochure.php)
Thank you to the folks at Presence for all of your hard work and dedication!!
Amie
yep it's that time of year when I start turning green :biggrinbounce:, with envy that is

Amie,
I think my last hope of coming to the conference this year has died. Andy won't have the days off needed to couple with vacation days. I have toyed with Idea of coming by myself but I would have to fly to, I think it's Springfield, then rent a car and drive to Branson myself. I don't think I'm adventerous enough for that. By the way I'm not a local. I'm from Minnesota, all those M states sound the same. :biglaugha: I'm really sad, because I think this will be THE conference to go to with the major books coming out, by Tim and Max. I want to be able to say, I was there when....
Lauri
Lauri,
By "local" I meant native to talk-grace. I'm flying in to Springfield...

Amie you said: By "local" I meant native to talk-grace.
Of coarse, my bad, what was I thinking? :beathead:
I'm flying in to Springfield...
I know, You are much braver and more adventerous than me.

Amie,
I'll be there for at least part of the conference. I know Wednesday night and Thursday night for sure. My wife is even coming on Wednesday night. I look forward to meeting you in person and the presence gang. :D
" :D " yeah good one Doug, just rub it it :biglaugha:
Doug,
The Presence gang is a really fun bunch. I'm looking forward to seeing you in person as well - and am happy that your wife will be coming!
Davo,
Is a loooong flight in the future radar at all?

Davo,
One of the board members of Presence is from Australia and always comes to the conferences, so you wouldn't be the only Aussie who talks funny there. :D
Lauri
lol, if I were there you'd need an interpreter :biglaugha: -- hopefully one day I'll be there :) .

Conference? Did someone say conference? Is it coming up soon?
We will have Australian to American translators available. "Fosters is Austrailan for beer." Funny how we speak the same language, but it s so different.
Davo, I saw Brisbane and Collingwood play football (Austrailian sytle) this weekend. After abut 5 years of watching the game, I think I finally figured out that it does have rules. :D
We'll be hosting a Zone in early July (I think the 11th, but I'll have to check to be sure) to do a conference run-down. Once it is set up for sure, I'll let y'all know.
I'm really looking forward to eeting you, Doug--no matter what AMie says about you. ;)
Blessings,
Kevin
Don't worry Kevin, get enough "Fosters" into us and I'm sure we'd all be talkin' the same language :homer2: :biglaugha:
And it's good to see you are finally getting some refined culture -- 'Aussie Rules' rocks :biggrinbounce:

I just wanted to thank Amie for all of her hard work in making Transmillennial 2006 a a great success. Her session received a lot of good buzz. I haven't heard it yet (since I was speaking at the same time), but I will listen soon.
Also, it was great to meet Doug Reed. I'm looking forward to getting to know Doug better. Thanks, Doug, for adding you presence to the conference.
As soon as the conference CD is ready, I'll let everyone know.

Welcome back Amie, Kevin, and Doug,
We missed you while you were at the conference!! I would love to hear your impressions of the conference and maybe your favorite moment. I can't wait for the CD. Kevin do you think you will be playing any of the talks as webcasts on Presence like they did a few years ago? For those of us that weren't able to go we would LOVE it!! Already looking forward to Presence Conference 2007!

Which one? There are at least 4 I can think of.
I missed Dave and Paige too. Maybe if we all ask real nice, Paige will consider speaking at next year's conference. :107:

Hell freezes over tour. That's hilarious!
If we go to heaven for the climate, what do you think of holding Transmillennial 2007 in Honolulu? It would let all of us North Americans meet Davo half-way.
Blessings,
Kevin

Hi everyone,
All of those places sound great, but I'm thinking of poor Barry. Canada isn't thawed out until sometime in July, so we need a warm place for him to escape to for a while. :)
Really, if you have any suggestions for locations (including conference centers) please let me know. I'd love to hear them.
Also, Paige, the invitation to speak next year is open. You have so much to offer, and we would be honored to have you as a participant.
And we'll be holding an online Zone on July 11th to discuss this past conference for folks who couldn't be there. Y'all are welcome to join in. Just send me an email to reserve your place, kevin@presence.tv.
Blessings,
Kevin

I was at the Conference with my daughter and her friend. It was great. Very informational, inspirational, and relaxing. I didn't take in any of the shows, etc, but enjoyed the quiet time to unwind and time spent with the kids. Amie, you were wonderful. I encourage everyone to make it to the next one, wherever it is.

I'm really going to do more than just try to sis!
Looking forward to meeting you there next year.
Really enjoying the overviews. Hope to hear more from everyone!
Anyone have any news on when there will be a CD out and whom will be on it??
Barry
Thanks for the kind words Alicia!! I'm glad that you benefited! It's good to see ya posting over here too! Did you get a new pc?

Amie, No I didn't get a new pc, just took the old one for some work. Good news -- DSL is coming our way! I don't know when, but hey better late than never. Since the conference I have several people that want to come to the next one already. YOUNG ones -- Teenagers! Can you believe that! It's a miracle. They want so badly to have a positive outlook when all they hear is a negative one. They soak it up like a sponge. It's very refreshing.
Barry, I look forward to meeting you too. I'm usually the one sitting quietly either in the back or on the side and taking it all in enthusiastically.
Alicia,
I'll bet that many teens can still sense the unwordable wrongness in what they hear. Some folks have to be talked into hating themselves, and it doesn't feel natural (I don't think it is). Like you said "They want so badly to have a positive outlook when all they hear is a negative one." We have so much to learn from them imo. Many times, I turn to my children for unclouded thoughts.
Barry,
Well I hope that you can make it, that would be so cool!!!!
Amie
PS - I have a hunch that any location suggestions that won't have a Starbucks, will be ruled out first - heh heh. Mr President (Kevin) is serious about his coffee :D.
