Came in to find a bit more out about realised eschatology. I was also impressed with the general level of self-discipline so I might feel comfortable with joining in other subjects. I have spent a long and hard time searching, trying to understand why theology doesn't make sense. I have come to a view entirely independently which seems at first sight to line up with the openness theologians Boyd, Sanders and co. Thought about Calvinism until I'm blue in the face and can only say that I hate him. I mean his teachings of course. Occasionally, after time, I can begin to share personal things. I've only really managed to this in one group I've ever been in and for the most part I try to stick to straight, unemotional language. I feel it's the best way on forums but outside, you do occasionally see a slight twinge of my lips indicating I made a joke or something similar. You don't have to take everything I say literally, I don't use smilies but I would like to think that I am really a very generous person and try to focus on what the person is trying to say instead on what they actually do say.
Enough said, love to all.

Well come desert!
You are going to love a thread I started called, "We tease the one's we love"
But I can almost get away with it because everyone knows the "class clown"
Seriously, it is great to have you here. Several of us have web sites that you may want to visit as well.
We are looking forward to your thoughts and views!!
This is a diverse loving group.

Welcome Desert!
Glad you found us! I promise not to hold the fact that you don't use smilies against you ;)

Howdee Desert,
It's really good to meet you. Glad to hear that you are open to what pretty much seems to boil down to effective communication. I won't hold your humanity against you if you slip up now and again ;).
I'm looking forward to 'hearing' your thoughts on things, when you are comfortable :).
Shalom to you,
Amie

Thanks for your welcome everybody. Amie said somewhere that she thought I was familiar to her. I have most often used the nic Desert Reign and have been on a number of groups especially on MSN. I try to keep an open book. Amie, if you want to enquire further, I suggest you email me privately. I always keep an open email address on internet groups in case non-christians want to ask me more about Jesus without embarassment. Also, Christians can talk to me for mutual encouragement off the boards. My msn email address is available to all of you in this way but I do not use it for any other purpose than internet discussion forums. Hence my private and business addresses are completely divorced from the forums.
The name Desert Reign came form a poem. One day I might share it with you but it is rather long and there are many other things to talk about than me...
God bless

I've just noticed, and just to be terribly pedantic, I would point out that in my msn email address there is an underline character between the two words, like this: desert_reign. It doesn't appear in the profile in this forum because it is automatically formatted as underlined so the underline obliterates the underline character. If you just click on it is fine because it will create the email for you but if you try to type it out into an email address block you will get it wrong if you think it is only desert reign followed by "@msn.com".
