Hi,
I just wanted to share a bit about my tree. We have a beautiful maple tree in our front yard. About 5 years ago it got struck by lightening and it became totally dead on one side and stayed totally alive on the other. Right down the middle it was like this. The side that was dead, was deader than a door nail. But the side that was still alive, blossoms every year and is beautiful. 3 years ago as I started on my journey of grief and healing my husband wanted to cut the tree down. I said, please don't do it. This tree represents my life right now. For I was feeling half dead and half alive. Some how is was a symbol to me. I had to really work hard at keeping this tree.
Well, here is the interesting part:) My son came to me this week and was like mom, mom, look at your tree. And right in the middle of the dead side a shoot has sprung up. A big shoot. With the snow and winter I didn't notice it. Its a different color also from the dead branches. I swear its growing more everyday. (like me!) I just cried and looked at it for what seemed for hours this morning. I was like, I'll be darn. Life... right in the middle of death. WHO says God doesn't still do miracles:clap2:
