Chef, over at Planet Preterist put this link up for its parody in a blog.
I laughed my head off! (I got fired in part from my pulpit position for my position of women's place in the Church some 15 years ago.)

Even though this is a parody such things can at times touch a button because it might "remind" us or trigger feelings that are associated with real or experienced circumstances.
Parody is however a useful tool for getting in touch with those feelings on a slightly safer level if those feelings can be embraced and redirected into positive thoughts.

That's true, and it's also a safer way to bring into the open touchy issues. That was a reality for me for a long time, and still is in certain crowds (not this one of course :)).

It's like how Dave Chappelle uses humor to illuminate wrongs.

It's all great for encouraging communication -- which is great imo.

I laughed until I cried, Barry!

I go to a church where the women homeschool, bake their own whole wheat bread, wear dresses (usually denim jumpers), and they also don’t initiate theological discussions about hell, the Second Coming, and such, you know. My husband loves this church, but I’m increasingly finding it difficult to “in thought be plain and simple, and let my natural sweetness shine through.” :1231:

I love you guys!

Lynn,

I guess I'm living proof that its possible to be a woman who homeschools, and yet still initiates discussion on all those thorny topics!

P.S. I laughed until I cried as I watched this!

Sometimes British humor just hits right on the botton.
