One of the most important things that I was ever taught was to keep in mind that the bible was written at a certain time, to certain people. This article THE BIBLE IS NOT A JIGSAW PUZZLE: A New Approach to the New Testament (http://www.theooze.com/articles/article.cfm?id=1179) by Frank Viola offers a few reasons why, in a creative way. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did :)

As soon as I can afford them, and have the time to read them, I'm getting his books. Thanks for the link.

Ed, I read some of the excerpts in his books. There seems to be some "meat" there, though I saw a few "bones" as well ;).

I sure love the idea of placing the books of the bible in their historical context.

Glad y'all liked it :)
